What happens when you begin Network Care?

Your first visit takes about 45 minutes. It begins with a private consultation and a review of your personal history form to assess your health and wellness goals. You will be given a full spinal evaluation and Network adjustment (entrainment) to assess the integrity of your spine and nervous system. If possible, wear loose fitting clothing (i.e. gym or yoga attire).

On your second visit you are given a Report of Findings to determine if we can help. If so, we will recommend a wellness plan that is suitable for you and will enable you to reach wellness goals. If you agree, then time will be available for you to receive your next Network adjustment.

As early as possible we recommend you attend an Introductory Wellness Workshop where we explain important concepts of Wellness, Network Spinal Analysis, Somato-Respiratory Integration and show a demonstration. The workshop is about 1 hour long and is included in your wellness plan.

Somato-Respiratory Integration (SRI) is an essential component of Network Care that involves working one to one and/or in a group with an SRI facilitator who guides you through a series of exercises involving breath, movement, focus and touch.   SRI helps you develop the skill of connection to your body and spine, and gain an understanding of the different stages of healing. SRI will deepen your experience and help you progress faster with Network Care.

Basic Care or Level 1 focuses on developing the strategy of connection to your body and spine. Early on in your care you will develop a greater awareness of breath, discover patterns of tension and ease in your body and release tension from the muscles and spine. Periodically, we re-evaluate the changes to you and your spine using self-rated questionnaires, and physical spinal re-evaluations. By the end of Basic Care you will have developed the basic strategy that leads to a stronger body-mind connection, greater postural awareness and self regulation of spinal tension. You may then decide that you have achieved your wellness goal(s), or you may wish to move on to Level 2 and transform old defense patterns held in your spine and nervous system for sustainble change and growth.

Each Network session lasts 10-20 minutes depending on your level of Network Care. Our objective for each session is to either deepen your current Network strategies or look to advance your strategies to a new level. During your adjustment (entrainment) we apply light and gentle touches mainly to your neck and lower spine and ask you to focus your attention, breath and stretch into certain areas of the body.

After your network session we advise you to sit and rest for a few minutes to allow your body to integrate your Network adjustment. It is a good idea to drink water to help flush out the toxins released during the healing process. You may feel relaxed and sleepy after your adjustment so it is not recommended that your plan an intense event after your Network adjustment.
